Thugs of Hindostan
If you cannot get over the antics of Captain Jack Sparrow
from Pirates of the Caribbean, it's time to take a closer look. Our Firangi
Mallah (Aamir Khan) is no less, with a perfect mix of mischief, wit and deceit.
Of course, minus the long dreadlocks and a goatee (although he has retained the
nosepin). The film is set in 1795 where the British East India company who come
to India under the pretext of trade is in full power. This tale of thugs brings Aamir Khan and Amitabh
Bachchan together on the big screen for the first time. Apart from the
intriguing plotline and awe-inspiring stunts, it is the duel between Aamir and
Big B that seems the biggest highlight of the film. There are a lot of war-like
sequences that follow, most of them at sea. While the shots on the ground seem
pretty realistic, the sequences involving ships seem like they have come out
straight from a video game. The film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and
produced by Yash Raj Films is slated to release on November 8 worldwide.
